The first day we were introduced to basic origami techniques as well as basic circuits. The dove's LED eyes go out when the conductive tape on the backs change the circuit. The pink box has a similar patch on one of the flaps that closes the circuit when pressed down, lighting up the LED. On Sunday we continued this experimentation. The octopus has LEDs in it that are connected to a touch sensor that Elsa programmed, so the octupus appears to blush upon touch! A similar light was put in the middle of a lotus that I made. Also included is a photo of a kirigami/cheater origami (glue and scissors) umbrella that we considered using for the project.
